It's going to be a changeable day in the North East on Friday, with cloudy and bright spells, rain and strengthening winds all forecasted.
The Met Office has predicted that there will be some bright spells on November 11, but they will be interspersed with clouds, light rain and wind as we go towards the evening. Yesterday's gusty weather will continue, with speeds of up to 42mph in prospect early to mid afternoon. Temperatures will remain unseasonably high, with highs of 16°C.

Winds will drop right back over the weekend, with cloudy, slightly chillier days on both Saturday and Sunday.
The official Met Office forecast for tomorrow is: "Overcast to start, then clearing slightly, giving the chance of a brighter spell. Cloud building again in the afternoon, bringing some light rain over hills, and strengthening winds. Exceptionally mild. Maximum temperature 16 °C."
