We'd like you to tell us your story...

Below is a full list of the categories for 2019 together with a brief description on each award and some helpful tips on what the judging panel may be looking for.

You’ll see that some categories are specifically focused towards the corporate sector, and the others are more charity focused.

The judges have many entries to read so make your nomination concise - keep your answers as short as possible but make sure you get all your relevant points in!

And remember, you can either nominate others or nominate yourselves for these awards.

Outstanding Charity Support – by large companies sponsored by Northumbria CRC

(for companies with 250 employees or more)

We’re looking for exceptional large scale North East companies who go above and beyond to help raise funds and support charities or community groups in our region.

This could be by organising fundraising events or challenges with their employees, through company donations or matched giving, sponsorship and support of charity events, staff fundraising or volunteering programmes, payroll giving, or just general raising awareness.

For this category the judges will consider:

  • Inspiration: The quality or originality of the project, event, campaign or partnership, including its relevance to the work of the charity.
  • Development: How well the idea was assessed, planned and developed
  • Execution: How effectively and efficiently it was carried out
  • Effectiveness: How successful it was
  • Evaluation: How success was measured; how well lessons were learnt, put into practice and shared with others

(for companies with less than 250 employees)

This could be by organising fundraising events or challenges with their employees, through company donations or matched giving, sponsorship and support of charity events, staff fundraising or volunteering programmes, payroll giving, or just general raising awareness.

Again, for this category the judges will consider:

  • Inspiration: The quality or originality of the project, event, campaign or partnership, including its relevance to the work of the charity.
  • Development: How well the idea was assessed, planned and developed
  • Execution: How effectively and efficiently it was carried out
