North Carolina at Duke tickets going for thousands on StubHub

DURHAM, N.C. _ How much is a chance to see the Tar Heels play the Blue Devils in Cameron Indoor Stadium worth to you?

$1,100?

How about $17,000?

That's how much the tickets to the Feb. 9 Carolina-Duke face off in Cameron were going for on the online ticket sales website StubHub on Thursday, about two months ahead of game day.

The tickets on the site were listed at $1,100 to $6,500, with one ambitious seller asking $17,000 per ticket for three upper-level center court seats.

StubHub ranks the value of tickets listed for sale and considered tickets going for $1,100 to $1,700 to be the best value, depending on where the seats were.

But these prices aren't necessarily out of the ordinary for the Cameron game. The Duke home game is usually pricey, and it's normally the more costly of the two regular-season matchups of the storied rivalry. According to Thursday's listings, tickets were much cheaper for the Carolina home game at the Smith Center, which seats more than twice as many people as Cameron.

Tickets for the Carolina home game against Duke ranged from $405 to more than ten times that at $4,275 for a lower center seat. And there were many more of them available.
