Police say at least one petrol bomb has been thrown in Belfast tonight.
Officers said they have been dealing with disorder in the north of the city .
The PSNI said: "Tennent St NPT + TSG +CCTV colleagues dealing with disorder at Hillview/Oldpark interface.
"Crowds of 40+ young people on both sides of interface. At least one petrol bomb thrown but no injuries or damage. Young people need to get a grip before someone is hurt."
SDLP Councillor Paul McCusker said earlier this evening: "Reports of large groups of young people at the top of Rosapenna/Hillview in the Oldpark currently from both communities and petrol bombs have also been thrown.
"There is absolutely no need for this ridiculous behaviour and I would urge all young people not to get involved and for parents to help us put a stop to this.
"I am currently liaising with police and will be on the ground from tomorrow night. This particular area has been unsettled for the past few months and local residents do not deserve this at all and I would appeal to those involved to stop it immediately."
