North Belfast home 'burgled' while owner in kitchen

A North Belfast home is reported to have been burgled while its owner was in the kitchen.

Police are appealing for information about the incident in North Queen Street on Saturday afternoon.

They said it was reported that a number of small items were taken from the property.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary in the North Queen Street area of North Belfast this afternoon (Sunday, July 18).

"Sometime between 10am and 10.30am, the homeowner was in the kitchen of the property and heard a noise. On returning to the living room they noticed that a window was open and that a number of small items had been taken.

"Anyone with information, or who noticed any suspicious activity around that time or who may have dashcam footage that could be helpful to police is asked to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 863 of 18/07/21.”
