Kilwinning residents are being encouraged to have a say in how their community will be shaped in the future.
North Ayrshire Council is working with the local community to decide a new set of priorities for the Kilwinning Locality Partnership.
There will be money available to make things happen through the council’s community investment fund and Participatory Budgeting.
The team behind the engagement process are encouraging folk to put forward an idea for Kilwinning using the interactive map and form at www.kilwinning.town
Public events will take place tomorrow, Thursday, from 12.30pm to 1.30pm and from 7.30pm to 8.30pm at Ayrshire College’s Kilwinning campus.
On Saturday, May 25, from 11am to noon, there will be a third event at the Erskine Hall, Garden Square Lane, Lauchlan Way.
Nick Wright, from the engagement team commissioned by the council, said: “At those events, we’ll be asking what’s most important for Kilwinning – including supporting local community activity around the town, and revitalising the town centre – and what concrete action is needed to make those things happen.
“Then we’ll be back in mid-late June for more public events to discuss actions and priorities. After that, an action plan with priorities will be worked up and checked with the community in August/September.”
