Normal People star Paul Mescal raffling off one of his chains for Pieta House

Normal People star Paul Mescal has decided to raffle one of his famous chains and donate the money to Pieta House.

The TV show has taken the world by storm and Connell, played by Paul, received a lot of love for the chain he wears in the series.

The charity had faced a major funding gap due to the postponement of the Darkness into Light walks because of Covid-19, but has raised millions following a Late Late Show appeal.

Mescal has now added to the drive, teaming up with the suicide prevention charity to raise further cash.

Paul said: “I am delighted to be able to help Pieta by raffling off one of my own chains.

“Pieta is a cause very close to my heart, having experienced loss due to suicide in my local town while growing up.

“Suicide and depression are themes directly linked to Normal People especially around episodes 9 and 10 which is why I want to help those in similar situations."

The raffle will be open for two weeks from May 25, until Monday June 8.

To be in with a chance to win Paul’s chain and support Pieta, visit their website and simply make a donation to enter.
