Normal People's Connell and Marianne to reunite for special charity episode

Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones, otherwise known as Connell and Marianne, will reunite in aid of Comic Relief for a special episode of Normal People.

The pair shot to stardom back in April when they played Connell and Marianne in 12 part-drama based on Sally Rooney's novel, Normal People.

The story follows the youngsters as they go through school, college and other life obstacles as individuals and sometimes as a couple.

Fans have been calling out for a second series and while there is currently no second book follow up, they will be delighted to hear that the duo will be back together once more in aid of Comic Relief, Ireland.

Founder of the Charity Richard Curtis confirmed the news this week, saying that Paul and Daisy would be back along with director Lenny Abrahamson to help raise cash for the great cause.

He explained that there would be a special called Normal Older People which takes a look at Connell and Marianne 40 years on.

The special is only set to air in Ireland but fans in the rest of the UK are hoping to be able to find a stream to watch the episode which is said to be a good one!
