Normal People cast as BBC drama has viewers hooked on TV and iPlayer

BBC viewers are now gripped by the drama that has had viewers rushing to iPlayer for the past few weeks.

Normal People has become an absolute binge watch must during lockdown, with plenty of people of all ages absolutely hooked on the adaptation of Sally Rooney’s best-selling novel.

At the centre of Normal People's story is 'the electricity of first love between two people who changed each other’s lives.'

Those people are Connell and Marianne, who despite being polar opposites, are drawn towards each other at school and begin an affair in secret.

The course of true love doesn't run smooth for them though and over the following few years, other people and their own issues stand in their way as they drift in and out of each other's lives.

Normal People has been a hit with audiences and critics alike and received over 16.2 million requests for the series in its first week of availability on BBC Three , with nearly five million requests from 16-34s.

You can watch each of the half hour episodes on iPlayer right now, while they are also being shown in longer instalments on BBC1, with the drama continuing on Monday night.
