Kirk Douglas' massive £61million donation to charity means his children and grandchildren will never see that fortune for themselves.
The Hollywood legend was always known as an extremely charitable man, and it appears that he's carried on that legacy, even after his passing on the 5th of February at the age of 103.
But the actor's sons three sons Michael, Peter and Joel (his other son Eric died in 2004) will not be inheriting Kirk's whopping earnings.
And the late Hollywood icon's seven grandchildren - Cameron, Carys, Dylan, Ryan, Kelsey, Jason and Tyler - will also be missing out on the mega-million cash sum.

Kirk has shared his $61m fortune by giving away $50million to be distributed through the Douglas Foundation, which aims to "help those who cannot otherwise help themselves".
Some of the beneficiaries include St Lawrence University, where they fund a scholarship for minority and underprivileged students; Westwood's Sinai Temple, which houses the Kirk and Anne Douglas Childhood Center; Culver City's Kirk Douglas Theatre, a dilapidated movie theater restored as a live performance venue, and Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
The star has, however, left nothing to his beloved son Michael Douglas, who announced the news that Kirk had passed away earlier this month.

As of 2020, Michael net worth is estimated to be roughly $300 million dollars, so he doesn't exactly need the money.
Kirk's health had been in decline since 1996 when he suffered a stroke but he'd continued to occasionally star in projects like the TV series Touched By An Angel, and the 2003 movie It Runs In The Family.
Hollywood stars lined up to pay their respects to the last member of the film industry’s Golden Age.

His family, including actor son Michael, confirmed the news in a statement, saying: "It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today at the age of 103.
"To the world, he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of movies who lived well into his golden years, a humanitarian whose commitment to justice and the causes he believed in set a standard for all of us to aspire to.
"But to me and my brothers Joel and Peter he was simply Dad, to Catherine, a wonderful father-in-law, to his grandchildren and great grandchild their loving grandfather, and to his wife Anne, a wonderful husband.”

He added: "Kirk’s life was well lived, and he leaves a legacy in film that will endure for generations to come, and a history as a renowned philanthropist who worked to aid the public and bring peace to the planet.
"Let me end with the words I told him on his last birthday and which will always remain true. Dad - I love you so much and I am so proud to be your son."
