Non-league Wrexham secure ground-breaking sponsorship deal with tech giants TikTok

Wrexham AFC, the non-league club owned by Hollywood pair Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, have secured a lucrative new sponsorship deal.

TikTok , one of the most popular social media firms in the world, has agreed to emblazon their logo across Wrexham shirts for the next two years.

According to the club, the partnership "promises to be one of the most innovative in entertainment and football, breaking new ground in many areas".

That includes the club’s recently-announced television series, Welcome to Wrexham . The series is set to document McElhenney and Reynolds' journey to becoming owners and the ongoing quest for the team to end their 13-year absence from the EFL.

Humphrey Ker, Executive Director at Wrexham AFC, said: “We were blown away by the ideas that TikTok had for their partnership with the club.

“To have TikTok on the front of our shirts is a great coup and we are sure it will be popular among our fanbase, as well as with those who are active on TikTok.”

Wrexham are still searching for a new manager, after Dean Keates was axed following failure to reach last season's National League play-offs.

Ex-Sunderland boss Phil Parkinson is currently the bookies' favourite, with the likes of Mark Hughes and Michael Flynn also linked with the high-profile vacancy.
