Non-league sides pencil in provisional friendlies for September

Non-league sides in the new West of Scotland League have arranged provisional friendly fixtures for September with a view to the season kicking off in October.

Irvine Vics have pencilled in matches against Ardrossan Winton Rovers and Drumchapel, pending latest league and government coronavirus advice and guidelines.

It is hoped the games will take place on successive Saturdays,  September 19 and 26.

At this stage, it is not known if fans will be allowed to attend the matches.

WoSFL chiefs hope to start the season in early October.

Teams were given the green light to return to training, albeit restricted to small groups, on July 20.
