Non-league player wins the title by scoring the strangest goal you'll ever see

Non-league side Dunston UTS won the Northern League Division 1 with one of the most bizarre goals you'll ever see.

Dunston, who were more than 10 points clear at the top of the division with games in hand, had luck on their side as they faced off against Guisborough Town.

In the video clip posted on Twitter , Guisborough can be seen on the attack at the UTS stadium, but things were about to take a swift turn in favour of the home side.

The Guisborough goalkeeper floats in a free-kick towards the Dunston box, but the home side are able to clear quickly.

As a Dunston defender steps in to thwart the attack, in proper non-league fashion, he looks to boot the ball up the opposite end of the field.

To cries of "have it" from the crown, the defender hacks the ball clear with a gargantuan effort that reaches the opposite end of the pitch.

Realising the opposition 'keeper is still halfway up the pitch from taking the free-kick, the defender puts his laces through the ball, which sails towards the Guisborough goal.

The crowd get audibly more animated as the ball bounces towards the net, and they explode into applause when a Dunston forward heads in the rebound, securing the league title for the Gateshead-based side.
