The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced that nominations are now open for the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2025. The deadline for submissions is May 31, with a $250 application fee required. Interested parties can obtain applications starting April 15 at walkoffame.com.
The Walk of Fame Committee will select approximately 24 names for honorees from the pool of nominations received. Nominations can be submitted by anyone, whether on behalf of themselves or another individual or group.
Applicants must provide a photo, bio, and details of the nominee's qualifications, along with a list of their contributions to the community and civic-oriented participation. Additionally, a letter of agreement from the nominee or their management is required as part of the application process.
If selected, nominees must agree to attend the event to accept the honor. They have two years to set their ceremony date, after which their selection will expire. Posthumous nominations have a two-year waiting period before they can be submitted.
Upon approval, the cost of installing a star on the Walk of Fame is approximately $75,000. The sponsor of the nominee is responsible for arranging payment to the Hollywood Historic Trust. These funds cover the creation and installation of the star, the ceremony, and the maintenance of the Walk of Fame.
Currently, there are over 2,700 honorees on the Walk of Fame, with recent additions including Martha Reeves, Dr. Dre, Lenny Kravitz, and Eugene Levy. The new selections for the Class of 2025 will be announced in June or July.
