Nominate your local champions for the West Wales Community Awards

One of West Wales’s biggest community award nights is back – and it’s time to make sure the local champions in your town, village or street get the recognition they deserve.

Sponsored by BMI Werndale Hospital, The West Wales Community Awards returns on May 15, and it promises to be another fantastic evening, with Ffos Las Racecourse packed with inspirational people who have dedicated their lives to helping others. Category sponsors include McDonald’s and LTC Mobility.

You might be a volunteer, a carer or health professional, or a sports coach – the West Wales Community Awards want to hear your stories, and share them not just with fellow nominees on the night, but with the thousands of Llanelli Star and Carmarthen Journal readers across the region.

This year’s categories have been designed to ensure all aspects of community life are captured, so that the efforts of all worthy individuals or groups have the opportunity to be recognised. Nominations are now open, so if you would like to put someone forward for the West Wales Community Awards, please follow the instructions on the entry form on this page.

Those lucky enough to make this year’s shortlist will be invited, along with their guests, to enjoy a delicious three-course meal, live entertainment and, of course, the awards ceremony itself.
