Nokia to bring back classic 'brick' phone for 20th anniversary

Nokia has announced its bringing back an updated version of one of its classic phones - the 6310.

In celebration of the device's 20th birthday, the company is commemorating the date with a healthy dose of nostalgia.

It's time to take a trip back to the early 2000s - a time when technology wasn't as advanced, but it seemed magical.

It would still be seven years until the iPhone would revolutionise how we use mobile phones... while Usher was still top of the charts.

If you were lucky enough to own a mobile phone back then, chances are it was a Nokia.

A Nokia 6310 was commonly known as the 'brick' due to its perceivable invincibility.

Despite being well known for its durability and extremely long battery life, it was also known for a little game called Snake.

A far cry from most modern mobile games, Snake was a simple but favourite pastime.

Now, HMD Global, the maker of Nokia's phones, has given the classic 6310 a makeover to make it more suitable for the modern day.

The latest iteration will have all the classic features that made the original so popular.

It will boast a polycarbonate shell and a battery that will apparently last 22 days.

And yes, it will have Snake - the original Snake.

Nokia will also be updating the handset with some extra features, including a camera.

The new Nokia 6310 is currently going for a very affordable £59.99.
