A thoughtless neighbour who refused repeated requests to stop blasting his stereo late at night has been punished by local council officers.
The Prestwich resident, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was served with numerous notices after becoming a nuisance to people living around him.
But, he continued to blare out his speakers in the evenings and late into the night, Bury Council says.

In response, council enforcement officers got a warrant, went to his home and confiscated his TVs, stereo and speakers.
Councillor Alan Quinn, Bury's cabinet member for the environment, climate change and operations, said: “People have a right to live in peace in their own homes and not be disturbed by their neighbours.
"We will continue to take action against those who ignore all the warnings and persist in causing a nuisance.”
The man was caught after council officers made recordings which showed the noise disturbance was frequent and often late at night.
Any further breaches will result in further confiscation of noise-making equipment and additional prosecution proceedings, the council has said.
