Noggin by John Corey Whaley - review

John Corey Whaley, Noggin

Oh, you have no idea how amazing this book is. Absolutely no idea. It was just absolutely awesome in every way possible. Couldn't fault it, or moan about it or even be really frustrated because it's so good. It was that kind of book.

I think I read it because I watched the trailer thing. That totally intrigued me. Why is everyone crowding round him? Why did the headmistress take him to class? Why did people clap when he came in? Was he famous?

Turns out it pretty much takes the whole book to figure this out. You get little memories and moments all the way through the book but it's the actual story that gripped me. My heart must have melted like three times over and I think I probably fell in love with the main character.

It's really hard to describe. Basically, he gets his head cut off. Then he comes back to life. Then he goes to school. And it's crazy!

I could hardly breathe when I finished it. I read it again. I was breathless once again.

Amazing, over-powering, breathtaking, beautiful. Truly powerful. 5 out of 5.
