NoFit State Circus is taking over a prominent Cardiff Bay site for a huge show

The hugely-popular NoFit State Circus is set to take over one of Cardiff Bay's most prominent spots.

Their iconic silver big top tent will be back in the capital on the site of the old Dr Who Experience building.

They last performed a sell-out show in the city in 2018, but will be back again this easter.

Once one of Cardiff's most popular attractions, the Dr Who Experience was dismantled in 2019. Aside from a brief spell as a gig venue for the  Eisteddfod , it remained empty since it closed to the public in September 2017.

A number of Welsh performers will be part of the show, including vocalist and musician Dylan Williams from Bangor and daredevil wire-walker Ellis Grover from Carmarthen.

Lexicon, the tour, includes circus performers and musicians and has been travelling around the world.

They said: "NoFit State Circus are thrilled to be returning to Cardiff with their critically acclaimed show LEXICON this spring. LEXICON brings together world class circus performers and musicians in a daring, free-spirited and mischievous take on contemporary circus."

The circus company was founded in 1986 and has performed hundreds of shows since.

The show in Cardiff will run from April 8 to April 26.

Tickets for the show will be on sale from February 24 on their website here.

More dates for the rest of their 2020 tour across the UK and mainland Europe are be announced.
