Hurling fans aren't happy as they labelled Noel McGrath's red card yesterday as a 'joke'.
The Tipperary ace, starring for his club Loughmore-Castleiney in the Munster Club Hurling Championship against Ballygunner, was given his marching orders for a barge off the ball during the first-half.
Retaliating after being hit with a shoulder, the All-Ireland winning star came back with one of his own as he floored his opponent.
And referee Johnny Murphy showed red to McGrath, it seems the decision cost the Tipp champions as they fell to a 2-11 to 0-12 defeat after his brother Shane was also sent off in the closing stages.
And fans took to Twitter to rage as they felt Noel was hard done by.
His brother Shane tweeted: "No bias here…that is a joke of a decision on Noel McGrath there. Anyone who thinks otherwise shouldn’t play or watch hurling".
A fan said: "Joke of a red card for Noel McGrath. Yellow at most."
"Absolutely disgraceful decision to send Noel McGrath off, clearly gets done off the ball first, shoulders him back and your man makes a meal of it," one added.
Another said: "How is that a red card for Noel McGrath? Brutal call".
