Noel Gallagher puts London mansion up for sale after stabbings on his street leave him fearing for his kids' safety

Noel Gallagher has vowed to leave London and put his mansion up for sale due to violence on the streets.

The musician said he thinks it will be best for his children, Anais, 19, Donovan, 11, and Sonny, eight, if they move elsewhere.

Noel, 52, made his comments following two recent stabbings on his street.

Speaking to the Irish Independent , the former Oasis star said: "We've had two stabbings outside our house in the last while.

"We didn't want the kids growing up in London.

"I live, as you can imagine, in quite an affluent area. At one end of the street is one housing estate and the other end is another housing estate. They are currently at war.

"One guy was stabbed in the middle of the f***king day and an air ambulance had to come and land in the middle of the street and all the streets were taped off."

Noel said he now put his mansion in Little Venice, London, on the market and is set to move for a quieter life in the country.

He added: "Donovan is 11 and is now coming to go to secondary school and we were just saying it would be too f**king stressful if he is on the tube and he is coming home and he is being mugged for his phone.

"So we decided that we are going to go out to the country and put them to school in the country. We'll just commute into London."

There have been more than 80 deaths in the capital since the start of 2019.
