Noel Gallagher dashes hopes of Oasis reunion blasting Liam as a 'moron'

If you are still one of the Oasis fans holding out for a reunion, you may need to take a rain check.

Noel Gallagher has dashed hopes of another musical collaboration with his sibling Liam , blasting him a 'moron' in a new interview.

The High Flying Birds frontman said he would never get back on stage with his younger brother and its partly due to his constant tweeting destroying the chances of more Oasis music.

It comes after Liam become embroiled in a feud with his sister-in-law Sara MacDonald.

A the time it was alleged that  threatening messages had been sent and Noel is standing by his wife.

He told The Big Issue: "It's strange behaviour for someone who is gagging for me to pick up the phone and say let's do it.

"He'd put his whole life on hold to get Oasis back together.

"But every tweet he sends out its another nail in the coffin of that idea."

Directly addressing his brother, the 52-year-old added: "If you think for one minute I am going to share a stage with you after what you've said you are f****** more of a moron than you look."

Liam, 47, will be back in the city this week as he performs a hometown gig at the Manchester Arena.

The solo star is currently touring with his second number one album, Why Me? Why Not.

It probably won't be long before he is responding to Noel's comments either.

The full interview is available in The Big Issue, out now.
