Noel Gallagher claims Man City 'effectively' beat Liverpool and makes Mohamed Salah admission

Famous Manchester City fan Noel Gallagher has said what he thinks is the “worst thing” about Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian was the star for Liverpool in their 2-2 draw with Man City in the Premier League showdown at Anfield on Sunday.

Salah provided the assist for Sadio Mane to open the scoring, and then scored a sublime individual goal to take his tally for the campaign up to nine in all competitions.

In the first half, Liverpool sustained an immense amount of pressure from City, and held on to get to half time goalless.

Oasis star Gallagher has claimed that City’s performance mean they “effectively won the game”, despite the 2-2 scoreline.

“I thought, coming off at half time, some of the lads on the group chat were saying that we will live to regret this that we’ve not scored,” Gallagher told Talksport.

“If we had Harry Kane, for instance, or Sergio Aguero in his prime, we’d have been out of sight after half an hour.

“When Liverpool came out and they scored, I thought ‘here we go’.

“But I was really proud of City because we equalised pretty much after five minutes every time.

“We won the first half, and the second half was even, so we effectively won the game.”

Gallagher went on to praise Salah for his goal, making a claim about what he thinks is the “most awful thing” about the Liverpool No.11.

“Salah’s goal was just far out,” said Gallagher. “Do you know what the most awful thing about that guy is? He’s so likeable.

“When you see him afterwards, I just want to give him a little cuddle.”
