The breakdown Noel Gallagher and Sara MacDonald’s marriage was down to his wild partying ways, it has been reported
The Oasis star, 55, had been in a relationship with 51-year-old Sara since 2000 after they met in Ibiza, and went on to marry in 2011.
They have two sons together, Donovan, 15, and Sonny, 12.
But over the weekend, the news of their split came as a shock to many as they are set to divorce, writes The Mirror.
According to reports the couple announced the end of their marriage after their relationship was on the rocks in recent months.
According to The Sun on Sunday, Noel and Sara had: “been on the rocks for a while and pals wonder if the trouble peaked when ex-Oasis star Noel went on a bender at Glastonbury Festival last summer.”
The sources claimed that Sara wasn't happy after Noel, “pulled a raucous, all-nighter at Worthy Farm, partying with pals including Rita Ora until 6am.”
While Noel told the outlet: “I was f***ed. I certainly wouldn’t have been able to sing on Sunday night.”
At the end of last week Noel and Sara announced the end of their marriage in a statement.
The statement, released by Noel’s publicist, read: "Noel and Sara will continue to look after their children who remain the priority. They ask the media to respect their privacy and that of our family at this time."
