Marina Granovskaia has been named the Best Club Director in European football at the Golden Boy awards.
In a year where Chelsea have changed managers from Frank Lampard to Thomas Tuchel, won the Champions League with victory over Manchester City in the final of the competition, and taken an early lead in the Premier League after a solid start to the new season, Granovskaia has done extremely well and deserves to be applauded.
The club have understandably congratulated her for the fine achievement.
A statement on Chelseafc.com read: "Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia has been named the Best Club Director in European football at the Golden Boy awards organised by Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
"Granovskaia, who has been a Chelsea director since 2013, is mainly responsible for player transactions and contracts. Today she has been honoured in the ‘Best European Manager’ category - akin to director - in 2021."
It's news that has gone down well with Blues fans on social media and several have sent messages of congratulations to their club's director.

The Golden Boy awards began in 2003 and also sees prizes given to the best player and best young player in Europe. Robert Lewandowski and Pedri were announced yesterday as this year’s winners.
Granovskaia will be hoping to build on this impressive achievement by following up with more success in the coming months or years.
Chelsea are still in with a shout of winning a number of competitions this season and victory in any of them tournaments will further boost the club's and Granovskaia's reputation.
