Nobody expects Hamilton to beat Celtic... that might give us a chance, says midfielder Blair Alston

Midfielder Blair Alston says nobody expects Hamilton to beat champions Celtic on Saturday – and that might give them a chance.

Alston, 27, reckons if Accies work as hard as they did in the 2-2 draw at Hearts a fortnight ago, they can shock Neil Lennon’s side.

He said: “Celtic is one of those games. You go into it trying as hard as you do in every game, but you take what you get from them.

“That’s not how we’re going to be judged – there are a lot of teams that are bigger and better than us that will take hidings off Celtic. We want to perform how we can, try to make it difficult for them, and do the same as we did against Hearts.

“You never know, when you go into games. If we work as hard as that, we might be able to take something from them. Somebody’s got to beat them, so hopefully we can be the team to do it.”
