Nobel winner Malala Yousafzai is writing a new book

Nobel Peace Prize winner and author Malala Yousafzai is writing a new book, she announced on social media on April 17, 2023. While the title or release date of her upcoming book isn't revealed yet, it is known that it will be published by Atria Books.

Yousafzai had earlier written her bestselling memoir 'I Am Malala: The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban', which was published in 2013. A year later, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize when she was just 17 years old! It's been a decade since her first book was published. And since then, she has graduated from Oxford University and has married Asser Malik, who works with the Pakistan Cricket Board. Yousafzai is known for her advocacy and support for women and girls' education.

"I am overjoyed to announce that I am working on my next book! The last few years of my life have been marked by extraordinary transformation — finding independence, partnership and, ultimately, myself," Yousafzai tweeted.

"This is my most personal book yet and I hope that readers will find recognition, reassurance, and insight in my story," she said in a statement shared by Atria Books.

As per the publisher, Yousafzai's upcoming book is a story of identity and coming-of-age in the public eye. A separate edition for young readers and picture books are also in plans.

Meanwhile, Yousafzai also has a production company, named Extracurricular, which is working on wide range of films and TV projects. Her previous books also include 'Malala's Magic Pencil', and 'We Are Displaced', among others.
