Nobby Solano has warned Newcastle United that they face a Leicester City side under no pressure tonight - despite a Europa League place hanging in the balance for the Foxes.
With Leicester's emergence as Euro contenders coming as a surprise - even to themselves - Solano feels his old club can approach this evening's game at ease.
Solano reckons the battle between his two old employers has a "strange" feel to it as Newcastle could actually get to the end of the season without picking up another point and still be safe.
However, Cardiff City are still in with a shout of survival and Solano is keen to see United put things beyond any doubt going into the last clutch of fixtures.
Looking ahead to the game with Chronicle Live, Solano said: "Leicester have changed manager and Brendan Rodgers is a good operator.
"They play good football and have won four games in a row so you have to respect them.
"Every game in the Premier League is tough but this one easily fits into that category.
"The thing with Leicester is they are under no pressure, they have survived in the Premier League with ease and they are not expected to get into Europe but have a great chance.
"But they look like they're up for it."
Newcastle looked on course for not only an early survival boost last month but also another top 10 finish.
But since then the Magpies have netted just one point from nine.
Solano reflected: "Newcastle are in a strange situation.
"They are almost safe but know they can't afford to take it too lightly.
"They won't take risks at Leicester.
"I can't see Cardiff getting out of this.
"They have difficult games and it will be too much for them.
"Newcastle just need to put this to bed now.
"They will try to get a point tonight and you have to remember the Toon fans have made a long trip and the team have to put up a fight for them."
