Noah Syndergaard got grumpy on Twitter during Mets’ doomed Syracuse trip

Noah Syndergaard never wanted to go to Syracuse.

The Mets’ pitcher had already sounded off on the team’s decision to take a visit to Syracuse for workouts just a few days before Opening Day, calling the journey “not a smart idea.”

The Mets were having the team take a bus from Florida to the airport there, fly to Syracuse, do a one-day workout, then get to Washington for a Thursday Opening Day visit to Nationals Park to take on Washington. It seemed like a lot just to get in a workout.

Then the Mets’ plane was grounded for three hours, and the mood reportedly got even worse.

The one good thing about this LOL Mets moment was that the delay did allow Syndergaard to get on Twitter and do an “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) and answer fans’ questions.

The answers were funny and … grumpy.

Thoughts on Syracuse?

He also had a tweet that I’m sure sent a few context-less Mets fans into hysterics, though not to worry: He’s on record as jokingly saying Mr. Met is his nemesis.

The tweets kept coming, and reflect a man who was not at all happy to be sitting on a grounded plane waiting to take off to go to Syracuse for 24 hours just days before Opening Day.

Alright then.
