Noah Fant leads Draft Wire’s final TE rankings

The Indianapolis Colts have one of the best tight end rooms in the NFL when it comes to depth and production, but there is still a chance they add to the group during the 2019 NFL Draft.

Because head coach Frank Reich loves to utilize the tight end room in various ways as both blockers and pass catchers, there is always a chance they come out of the draft with a new prospect.

Luke Easterling published is final tight end rankings over at Draft Wire. Here’s a look at the top 10:

  1. Noah Fant, Iowa
  2. T.J. Hockenson, Iowa
  3. Irv Smith Jr., Alabama
  4. Dawson Knox, Ole Miss
  5. Jace Sternberger, Mississippi State
  6. Josh Oliver, San Jose State
  7. Foster Moreau, LSU
  8. Kahale Warring, San Diego State
  9. Tyre McCants, USF
  10. Dax Raymond, Utah State

This class doesn’t appear to be deep overall, but there are some intriguing options if the Colts wanted to pursue the position.

The Iowa duo is likely to be first-round picks. Colts fans wouldn’t be too happy with that selection at No. 26, but anything is possible when it comes to draft day.

Sternberger and Moreau are also candidates for the Colts later in the draft, as is Knox.

It isn’t clear if the Colts will select a tight end from this list, but they do place a lot of value in the position, which means there is always a chance they can add some new faces.
