'No Wan-Bissaka?' - Ian Wright sums up how Palace fans are feeling amid PFA award nominations

The PFA young player of the year nominations have been announced - and Crystal Palace fans are united in disbelief about the absence of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 21-year-old Palace academy graduate has had a standout season for the Eagles, performing consistently well at right-back for Roy Hodgson's side.

His impressive form has seen him touted for a potential senior England call-up, although he was not included in the last squad named by Gareth Southgate, with Wan-Bissaka instead featuring at U21 level this season.

The Crystal Palace star who can be the perfect addition to Unai Emery's Arsenal revolution

And Wan-Bissaka has not been included in the six-man list of nominations for the PFA young player of the year award, which has stunned many fans.

The list, which was announced today (Saturday), is as follows:

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)

David Brooks (Bournemouth)

Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)

Declan Rice (West Ham)

Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)

Bernardo Silva (Manchester City)

But the absence of Wan-Bissaka has got Eagles fans talking this afternoon, with the father of Palace star Andros Townsend, Troy Townsend, among those summing up how the Selhurst Park faithful are feeling about it.

These Palace fans are saying the same thing as Spurs knock Man City out of the Champions League

Townsend, who is head of development at football's equality and inclusion organisation Kick It Out, took to social media to voice his opinion on the nominations list, as can be seen below.

He is not the only one to voice his surprise at the nominations list either, with former Palace and Arsenal striker Ian Wright also posting on Twitter about the Eagles star's omission from the list.

And several Palace fans have echoed their thoughts on social media, as can be seen below.
