All services at Leeds train station have been cancelled with passengers blocked from entering the platforms.
British Transport Police have blocked the entrance to the platforms by WHSmith .
Station staff have told passengers the disruption is due to concerns for someone on a bridge.
Hundreds of people are stuck on the station concourse while commuters have also been trapped on train services held outside the station.
Northern has tweeted that the delays and cancellations could continue until 12pm.
Oli Trenham told LeedsLive his Northern train had been stuck near Kirkstall for almost an hour.
Here are the train services and routes affected:
- Northern between Leeds and Skipton / Ilkley / York / Huddersfield / Bradford Forster Square / Knottingley / Chesterfield / Knaresborough / Selby / Sheffield
- TransPennine Express between Leeds and Huddersfield, between Manchester Airport and Newcastle / Middlesborough, between Liverpool Lime Street and Scarborough and alsobetween Manchester Piccadilly and Hull
- London North Eastern Railway between Harrogate / Skipton / Leeds and London Kings Cross
- CrossCountry between Glasgow Central and Birmingham New Street and also between Newcastle and Plymouth
