The new James Bond film may have been delayed by seven months because of coronavirus, but the first review has arrived from one of its leading stars.
Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, No Time to Die marks Daniel Craig‘s final outing as 007 – and following her debut in Spectre, Léa Seydoux returns in the film as Madeline Swann.
Seydoux, speaking to Daily Mail, was asked for her thoughts on the finished film, which was due to be released 1 April.
“There’s a lot of emotion in this Bond,” she said. ”It’s very moving. I bet you’re going to cry. When I watched it, I cried, which is weird because I am in it.”
If the world wasn’t currently on lockdown, the film would have been released this week and the reviews would have been published by now.
This inadvertently makes Seydoux’s comments the first official review of No Time to Die.
The film also stars Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw and Jeffrey Wright.
It will now be released on 12 November.
Just last month, Craig revealed he has no plans to leave a single penny of his $125m fortune (£108m) to his children when he dies, as he finds the idea of inheritance “distasteful”.
