No, the Redskins aren’t looking to sign QB Jameis Winston

There are admittedly a lot of things to freak out about in our current climate, with everything going on in the world at large.

Seeing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston sign with the Washington Redskins is not one of the things you need to concern yourself with. It’s not going to happen.

While it seems like an outlandish idea from the very start, a report was going around on Wednesday night that the Redskins could consider bringing in the former Heisman-winning QB — one who made history in 2019 by becoming the first player to throw for over 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions — to compete with second-year QB Dwayne Haskins. In this scenario, it would be done in order to mirror what the Tennessee Titans did last year when they brought Ryan Tannehill to take the throne from Marcus Mariota.

Smart in theory, but this would be a poor plan to execute. No need to add it to the list of things you’re stressed about, though. It’s not happening.
