No suspicious circumstances over death of man, 42, found dead in alleyway in town centre

Police have confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a 42-year-old man who was found in an alleyway in a Welsh town centre on New Year’s Eve.

Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police were called to an area off Brewery Terrace in Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, at around 6pm on Thursday evening.

The Welsh Ambulance Service was also in attendance and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation was launched and police appealed to the public for information as they initially treated the death as unexplained.

A police presence has remained at the scene for much of Friday, and it has now been confirmed, following a post mortem examination, that there are no suspicious circumstances connected to the death.

The man has not been named at this stage, but it has been confirmed that he was 42 years old.
