No significant structural damage for Joel Embiid, likely to miss one week

PHILADELPHIA _ After their 115-106 win over the Knicks on Thursday night, the Sixers had positive news on Joel Embid, who suffered a left shoulder sprain Wednesday in a 108-94 loss at Cleveland.

The Sixers issued this statement: "Evaluation and testing confirmed a left shoulder sprain and that there was no significant structural damage. His progress will be symptom-based and he is currently expected to be re-evaluated in approximately one week."

Coach Brett Brown reacted by saying, "The fact that there is no structural damage, we all hear loudly."
