An autopsy has found no broken teeth or head injuries on the body of TV actress Pattarathida "Tangmo" Patcharaveerapong, who drowned after falling from a speedboat into the Chao Phraya River in Nonthaburi on Feb 24, a forensic doctor said.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the doctor at the Police General Hospital's Institute of Forensic Medicine (IFM) who conducted the autopsy said he examined the oral cavity and found no broken teeth, while a check on the actress's skull found no signs of trauma from a hard object.

The autopsy came after actor and volunteer rescue worker Ekkapun "Tide" Bunluerit, who was among the first to see the body after it was retrieved from the river, told a TV show that Tangmo's face may have been struck by a hard object, as there was bruising around her right eye, with several teeth seemingly broken.

Pol Maj Gen Supichai Limsiwawong, chief of the IFM, said the doctor who carried out the autopsy informed him the body sustained several wounds, notably a large one found on the right thigh.

However, he said he had not yet received a report regarding any head injuries.

He said tissue samples from Tangmo's body have been sent to two hospitals for an examination so the results are not available yet.

Tangmo, 37, fell into the Chao Phraya near Pibul 1 pier in Muang district around 10.40pm on Feb 24 while travelling in a speedboat with five other people. Her body was found about 1pm on Feb 26.

Tanupat "Por" Lerttaweewit, the boat's owner, and Phaiboon "Robert" Trikanjananun, the driver, have been accused of operating an unlicensed vessel and negligence leading to death.
