No sign of Trent Williams at Redskins practice on Tuesday

Redskins left tackle Trent Williams has not shown up to the team’s facilities for all of training camp, but some people were expecting to see him on Tuesday morning, ahead of Washington’s Week 2 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

It appears that won’t happen, as Williams was nowhere to be found as the Redskins got onto the field to practice Tuesday afternoon.

Whether or not Williams returns to the team in the coming weeks is up in the air, but it is hard to see him playing this week against the Cowboys as of now. In his absence, the offensive line did well against the Philadelphia Eagles in pass blocking last week, but they were unable to get much of a run-game going upfront.

As time goes on, the need for Williams might grow, but as of now, everything stands at a stalemate, much like it has for the majority of the offseason. Until we hear something official out of either camp, which has been rare, all we can do is speculate.
