No selections made by the Lions in the 2019 Supplemental Draft

The 2019 NFL Supplemental Draft was held today, and as expected, the Detroit Lions did not make a selection.

Five players declared for the supplemental draft and Lions Wire’s own Jeff Risdon profiled the two prospects that were most commonly thought of as draftable: Jalen Thompson, a defensive back from Washington State and Marcus Simms, a wide receiver from West Virginia.

Thompson was the only player selected in the supplemental draft by any organization, as the Arizona Cardinals used a fifth rounder to procure his rights. Simms, who became a free agent after the conclusion of the draft, is signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The Lions current roster sits at 89-players as we inch closer to the start of training camp on July 25th.
