No Rangers Lyndon Dykes approach has been made says Livingston boss Gary Holt

Livingston boss Gary Holt says there have been no concrete bids for striker Lyndon Dykes.

The Australian has been strongly linked with a move to Rangers in recent days, but Holt says there has not been any contact.

Dykes made a big impression in the Premiership last season, scoring 12 goals in 33 appearances, including one in the 2-0 win over Celtic and a hat-trick against Ross County.

Speaking in the West Lothian Courier, Holt said: "There's been nothing concrete for Lyndon, or any of our players for that matter. Nobody has been in touch. We'll have to wait and see what happens but it's been a case of people putting two and two together and getting five."

The Mail on Sunday reported earlier this month that the in-demand striker is valued at £2m, and that Australian national team assistant and former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen is aiming to persuade Dykes to play for the country where he was born.

Scotland boss Steve Clarke, meanwhile, is said to hope that Dykes will opt for the country in which he currently plays his football.
