'No question' - Nottingham Forest fans would love to bring these players back to City Ground

Nottingham Forest have made a decent start to the Championship season - but could they do with a bit of help?

Forest may have slipped to back-to-back defeats against Wigan Athletic and Hull City, but they are still just five points below league leaders West Bromwich Albion.

Sabri Lamouchi's men are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Luton Town, where they will be determined to get back on track.

Just for a bit of fun, we asked Reds fans which Forest star since the turn of the century they would love to see back at the City Ground and lining up in the current team.

Stan Collymore was a popular pick - but unfortunately he will have to be disqualified, as he left Forest in 1995 to join Liverpool, though his professional career did just crossover into the 21st century.

Of those who were eligible, there were plenty of votes for Robert Earnshaw, David Johnson and Michail Antonio, among others.

Here are some of the responses we received via our Facebook page...

Matt Kirk: There's so many. Johnno and Marlon Harewood. I know that's 2.

Richard Smart: I'd like to see a "peak of his career" Jermaine Jenas in the team right now. Although we probably do need a striker more.

Rory Richardson: This century would be Andy Reid.

Scott Nffc Brown: Antonio!

Tom Hulley: Billy Sharp in his current form.

Vassilis Poulakos: Michail Antonio... no question about it.

Christopher Hibbert: Lewis McGugan (on one of his good days).

Daren Barrs: This century would have to be Andy Reid.

Keegan Bethell: As we need a striker, Earnshaw.

Phil Bamford: As the question was this century, Earnshaw.

Simon Allin: For me it would be Robbie Earnshaw.

Rich Beardall: Harewood or Michael Antonio.

Richard Ottaway: Gareth Williams. The team and style fit Williams perfectly, he'd dictate the game and open up space for our front 4 as well as exploiting the overlaps of the attacking full backs we now play with.

Tony Chaplin: Chris Bart-Williams.

Lee Tilston: Robert Earnshaw.

Chris Smithurst: Aaron Ramsey, Robert Earnshaw.

Paul Catton: David Johnson.

Dan Smith: David Johnson.

Ryan Savage: David Johnson.

Kenny Brant Mandels: Antonio.

Lee Anthony Jenkins: Earnshaw.

Jamie Parker: Earnshaw this century. Last century Collymore.

Mark Hatton: David Johnson or Marlon Harewood.

Colin Armstrong: Johnno.
