No protests during national anthem prior to Eagles-Falcons

PHILADELPHIA _ Malcolm Jenkins stood with his hands clasped behind his back, as many players do, as Boyz II Men kicked off the 2018 NFL season with a lovely rendition of the national anthem. There were no visible protests.

During the preseason, Jenkins waited in the tunnel for the anthem to be played, as a continuation of his protest against racism. Defensive end Michael Bennett waited in the locker room until the anthem was over during the preseason. Bennett also stood Thursday night, though toward the end of the anthem he knelt to tie his shoes, which probably doesn't count as a protest.
