'No player in Arsenal's midfield is better' - Fans rave over Santi Cazorla's Spain performance

Santi Cazorla's renaissance continued in Spain's European Championships qualifier win over Romania.

The 2008 and 2012 winners had already qualified for the summer's tournament prior to the final game at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.

But that didn't stop them from turning on the style in a 5-0 win, with Cazorla dominating the match from the opening stages.

The diminutive playmaker struck the bar in the opening 10 minutes of the match as the hosts began on the front foot, and it wasn't long before he was involved again.

The first ever north London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The 34-year-old put in a lovely dummy to begin the move that led to the opening goal moments later.

And with a little over half an hour gone, he set up the game's second goal to put his side well in control, working a quick short corner before crossing for Villarreal teammate Gerard Moreno to head home.

Arsenal fans were happy to see their former star back in the spotlight after enduring a torrid time with injuries, leading to fears he may never play football again.

The midfielder officially rejoined Villarreal in the summer of 2018, playing 35 times in La Liga in the 2018/19 season, and his exceptional form this year has forced his way back into the Spain squad.
