No one can blame Meghan Markle for snubbing poisonous father Thomas

As the 'Markle Debacle' continues, is it any wonder Meghan has taken the decision to and his frequently poisonous family from her life right now?

She’s a new mum, looks like she’s loving married life with Harry and naturally only wants the best for her newborn son.

So much pain has been heaped upon Meghan from her dad and his warped views, is it any wonder she wants some space to enjoy these precious moments with her new family?

Those close to Meghan have told me Thomas “has made his bed and now he has to lie in it”.

Ultimately, the Duchess simply wants to protect Archie Mountbatten-Windsor ((The Duke and Duchess of Sussex/@SussexRoyal/PA Wire/Handout via REUTERS))

One friend said how “grossly betrayed” she feels and it’s no wonder.

Let’s not forget, Thomas revealed intimate details of her life, personal conversations with Harry and even used his late mother in sick anecdotes about how badly he was being treated in an attempt to bring his long-suffering daughter to the table.

The only hope he does have in speaking to Meghan again is arguably his age and his health.

Thomas pulled out of the royal wedding just days before he was due to walk his daughter down the aisle, due to a heart condition.

Perhaps Meghan will regret not speaking to him or at least opening up a channel of communication again if he was to fall ill.

Or maybe just too much damage has been done already.

When the sun sets on this saga there are no winners and Meghan must concentrate on the future she can shape for her family and her newborn son.
