No new Covid-19 deaths recorded at hospitals across Bristol

Hospitals across the Bristol region recorded no new deaths from coronavirus on Saturday.

Latest figures by NHS Trusts across the Bristol area showed there were no deaths from Covid-19 at hospitals in the region in the 24 hours up to 4pm on Saturday, June 6.

At the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust the number of deaths remains at 134

At North Bristol NHS Trust the number of deaths is recorded as 117.

The UHBW Trust runs the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Weston General Hospital, as well as several other hospitals in Bristol.

There is often a lag in the reporting of deaths over a weekend and the figures for Saturday, June 6 are currently awaiting verification.

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus across the Bristol region has also remained relatively static.

In Bristol there are 711 confirmed cases – up just two from last Friday.

In North Somerset there are 471 confirmed cases, in South Gloucestershire there are 405 and in Bath and North East Somerset there are 236.

Apart from Bristol the number of cases across the wider Bristol area has not increased.
