No new COVID-19 cases have been recorded across the New South Wales South East today, as the Snowy Monaro region enters its first full day of a week-long lockdown.

There have been 864 locally acquired cases recorded across NSW and 15 deaths.

Across the South East, there are currently 39 active COVID-19 cases.

Thirty-two are in the Eurobodalla, with most active in the Batemans Bay region.

First day of Snowys lockdown

The Snowy Monaro is entering its first official day of a week-long snap lockdown.

It comes ahead of the October long weekend, and Thredbo distillery owner Brad Spalding says the timing is a blow to business.

"They had all their staff organised, all their supplies in place and [were] ready to go and now it's all gone again."

Businesses in the high country lost their peak winter trade due to the Greater SydneyCanberra and state-wide regional lockdowns.

Snowsport industry experts have said the financial losses caused by the lockdowns put the snow industry on the brink of collapse.

Mr Spalding said it had been a trying two years for businesses across the mountains.

"I feel for everybody involved as we're going back into a pretty intense lockdown again, I just hope people can hang in there."

Exposure site impacts

Meanwhile, the lockdown in the Eurobodalla has been officially extended to October 11.

Eleven new exposure sites have been listed across the South East, including hospitality venues, supermarkets and petrol stations in Jindabyne.

Moruya has also had Woolworths listed as its first exposure site.

Anyone who attended the venues at the times listed on the NSW Health website must get tested immediately and isolated until a negative result is received.

The Wray St Oyster Shed in Batemans Bay was listed as a casual contact exposure site on Thursday.

Director of the business Jade Norris said all staff members were isolating and the shop had closed.

"We closed our business straight away and we contacted all of our staff," she said.

"So, we all went straight in the car and went down to get tested."

It's the second time the business has had to close after exposure to a positive COVID-19 case, following a similar incident last year.

Ms Norris said the business would take a hit due to the sudden closure.

"And it doesn't have a good expiry date on it."

Additional testing clinics have been set up at Narooma, Thredbo and Jindabyne to mitigate any further spread of the virus.

Anyone with the mildest of symptoms is urged to get tested.
