Canberra has continued its streak of remaining coronavirus free, with no new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the 24 hours to noon on Saturday.
In the past 24 hours, 1197 tests for the virus were completed in the ACT, bringing the total for the territory since the pandemic started to 64,715.
But Canberrans have been told now is not the time to invite their friends and family to visit from Greater Sydney, Newcastle and other areas affected by coronavirus.
Health authorities reminded Canberrans to avoid travelling to Greater Sydney and Newcastle unless for "absolutely essential reasons".
