The University of Newcastle has recorded no more positive COVID-19 cases, since a fifth case was announced on Tuesday.
"I am pleased to share that there have been no new cases of COVID-19 among those students living on campus at Callaghan, up to 8pm on Tuesday, August 10," Vice-Chancellor Alex Zelinsky said on Wednesday.
Up to 800 students living on campus were tested on Tuesday. They lived in residences separate to International House.
However, students living at International House - the exposure site of the five positive cases - will be tested this week.
"I am immensely grateful to NSW Health for expediting their results and the relief it will bring many students as a result," Professor Zelinsky said.
"I am humbled that, despite being stressed, so many of our staff and students have offered donations and help to support our on-campus student community."
The Newcastle Herald had reported that students in International House raised concerns that they hadn't been tested and were running out of food.
Shadow Minister for the Hunter Yasmin Catley demanded that the students be tested, while helping them access supermarket home deliveries.
Professor Zelinsky said the University of Newcastle Student Association (UNSA) and OzHarvest provided 1.5 tonnes of food on Tuesday, "individually packed into 120 boxes".
They had also put together "160 care packages of activity packs and food items with the support of two dozen staff to coordinate the food drop".
