No new coronavirus deaths reported at Greater Manchester hospitals in the last 24 hours

There have been no new coronavirus deaths reported at Greater Manchester hospitals n the past 24 hours.

The latest data released by the NHS on Sunday shows a further 49 deaths reported nationally where the deceased had tested positive for Covid-19.

But only one of these deaths was at a hospital trust in the north west, at Morecambe Bay Hospitals Trust in Lancashire.

There were no new deaths relating to hospital trusts in Greater Manchester.

It means the death toll for our region remains 5,726.

The total number of coronavirus-related deaths at hospital trusts in Greater Manchester, as of Sunday, March 14, is:

  • Bolton NHS Foundation Trust - 634

  • Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust - 9

  • Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust - 1,136

  • NHS Nightingale Hospital North West - 6

  • Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust - 1,556

  • Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust - 8

  • Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust - 492

  • Stockport NHS Foundation Trust - 539

  • Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust - 568

  • The Christie NHS Foundation Trust - 28

  • Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust - 750

The total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals in England now stands at 85,234.

Of the 49 newly reported deaths, patients were aged between 50 and 93 and all except three, aged between 62 and 89, had known underlying health conditions.

The deaths were between January 10 and March 13, with the majority being on or after March 10.

There were 17 other deaths reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.
