Yesterday was the first weekday since March that Scotland has recorded no new coronavirus deaths.

Earlier this week, big announcements were made over relaxing restrictions across the country.

Beer gardens and outdoor areas of restaurants will open by July 6- bringing a boost to summer spirits.

The five-mile visiting restriction looks set to be lifted on July 3.

From July 13, outdoor contact sports for children will be allowed and non-essential shops outside shopping centres allowed to open.

Two days later it is planned that hairdressers can also reopen.

Final decisions on moving into Phase 3 will be taken in line with the statutory three-weekly review cycle, due on July 9.

Some measures have also come into force across Scotland with face coverings becoming mandatory on public transport.

Places of worship will be able to reopen for private prayer but hygiene measures will be in place.
